Freeman worked for a local retail store in the Plano area while launching Griffin's drapery and blind installation. One of his co-workers referred Freeman to another co-worker who wanted drapes and blinds hung. The job went off without a hitch and the lady was taken away by his attention to detail, precise measurement and the dressing of the drapes. She reminded him at work daily of how awesome of a job he did and begged Freeman to consider putting business cards in the window treatment area of the store as a referred installer. Freeman tossed the idea back and forth and decided not to pursue the idea. Eventually she came back with an ultimatum. That ultimatum was to try it for 30 days and if he wasn't successful at it, she would not make mention of the idea again. Within the first 6 months, Freeman was so successful he had an overflow of insulation scheduled. After two years, Freeman became known to several retail chains in Dallas, Allen, and Frisco. Fast forward years later, Freeman's company is now known as New View Window Decor Freeman has built his company on referrals of existing customers and repeat customers from over the years. The business has now expanded to not only servicing residential customers but also commercial. The products consist of a full line of hard and soft window treatment along with the access to contracted custom drapery designers. New View Window Decor aims to be its customers One Stop Shop for all window treatment products and services.
